Why Choose the Xbox 360 over the Other Gaming Consoles

Currently there are three major gaming consoles in the gaming arena which are vying for your gaming needs. First we have the Xbox 360 which of course is the next generation in the Xbox line. We also have the Sony PlayStation 3 which is Sony's newest incarnation of the PlayStation which caused quite a ruckus upon its release, and then we have the Nintendo Wii which on its opening day completely sold out all available units. So here we have three choices to choose from. The question it is which gaming system is the right gaming system for you?

There are several factors which will probably determine which system that you eventually decide to purchase. One such factor you may want to consider is which gaming console has the most games or has the games which fit your needs the best. The Xbox 360 was the first gaming console of the three to be released and therefore it has the advantage of having more unavailable games as well as more accessories to offer gamers to choose this system. Currently the PS3 and the Wii both have a limited supply of games. So if it is the availability of games that you are looking for then the Xbox 360 will suit your needs much better than its competitors.

If you happen to be looking at your bank account at your determining factor of which gaming console you should choose, then again your choice will be the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 is considerably much more expensive than the Xbox 360. If you purchase an Xbox 360, you will save enough money over the PlayStation 3 to buy some extra games to play on your new Xbox 360. The Nintendo Wii has a base price which looks attractive, until you add on the needed accessories to play the games. Once you have to buy the required accessories to play the games all the Nintendo Wii, you will still have put more out-of-pocket than if you would have bought the Xbox 360, which is ready to go out-of-the-box.

Nintendo is truly a gaming pioneer. And let's face it Sony entertainment is an absolute giant in the industry. One big thing that separates the Xbox 360 from the PS3 and the Nintendo Wii is the Company which makes it, Microsoft. Microsoft has many features added onto the Xbox 360 that the others do not have. One of the benefits that the Xbox 360 has over its competitors is the ability to connect the Xbox 360 to your computer. There is of course the added bonus on being able to connect to Xbox life if you have a broadband Internet connection, and access special programming available only to Xbox 360 owners.

At the end of the day the choice of which gaming system is right for you will be determined by your own preferences. Weigh your options carefully and choose which gaming system you believe will best suit your gaming needs. Chances are you will be bringing home an Xbox 360.
