It is a good idea to skim the water at least once a day, more often if needed. If you have an in ground pool, you will need to make certain you treat the surface properly, so it isn’t harsh on your skin when swimming. Pool paint is usually the best way to take care of this, and it should be done on a regular basis, at least once each season.

You will use this when you close your pool for the winter, to clean out your pump and pipes, which will prevent damage caused by freezing during cold winter weather.
