How to Properly Test a Boat before You Make That Purchase

Try driving the boat as you would if you had already purchased it. See how well it cuts across through waves at different angles to get an idea of how it handles. If you are planning to test a boat for salt water use, it is a good idea to see how well water drains from the boat. The water should drain rather quickly out the scuppers. If the water should happen to pool up in the bow, it will drain slowly and can be a particularly dangerous situation should the boat ever see rough water.
